Toyota has released the Manufacturer's Suggested Retail Price (MSRP) for the
launch of the new Highlander Hybrid in June. The 4x2 base Highlander Hybrid
will carry an MSRP of $33,030. The 4WD-i base Highlander Hybrid will carry an
MSRP of $34,430. Both prices are roughly $6,840 more than the gasoline powered
versions of the Highlander. Invoice pricing has not yet been released for the
new Hybrid SUV.
The Highlander is the second hybrid vehicle offered by Toyota, joining the
already successful Toyota Prius Sedan. Similar to the Prius, the Highlander
also rates very high on fuel efficiency. The Highlander Hybrid 4x2 carries an
estimated EPA fuel efficiency rating of 33 mpg in city driving, 28 mpg on the
highway. Its combined city/highway estimated EPA fuel efficiency rating of 30
